Paul
If you’ve been a regular customer over the years, you’ll have had the pleasure of meeting our longest serving member of staff, Paul.
Paul joined us straight from school at the age of 15 years of age and initially worked for our founder Fred Ives when the business was fondly known as Fred’s Timber Yard. Initially starting off learning the trade outside in the timber yard with Fred’s brother Bert. Paul worked his way up through the business to run the shop and is a much valued member of both F H Ives Limited and also the Ives family.
Paul has worked for all three generations of the family, starting with Fred, then Norman & for the last two decades; Mike.
This week marks Paul’s last week with us, as he will be leaving on Friday to start his retirement. We would like to take this moment to offer our valued customers, who have had the pleasure of getting to know Paul over the years, the opportunity to wish him well for his forthcoming retirement years. Please do pop in and say farewell if you get a chance to this week.
